Organic cotton and natural rubber: built to last, safe to wear

The material matters — especially when it's on a child's feet all day. Our boys' canvas trainers use GOTS-certified organic cotton: grown without pesticides, naturally breathable and gentle on young skin. The soles are made from natural rubber from the rubber tree, offering flexibility, grip and cushioning without the chemicals found in synthetic alternatives.

The canvas and rubber are bonded by vulcanisation — heat and pressure, no chemical glues — which makes the shoes more durable and fully washable at 30 °C. A short cycle in the evening, air dry overnight, and they're ready for the next day. For parents, that's a real difference.

The entire collection carries Green Trade World certification, guaranteeing that no substances harmful to health have been used at any stage of production.

Frequently asked questions

Can boys' canvas trainers go in the washing machine?

Yes. All our canvas models with natural rubber soles are machine washable at 30 °C on a short cycle. Remove the insoles first, wash with similar colours and air dry in the shade. Avoid the tumble dryer — it can affect the shape and the rubber. For stubborn stains, a quick rub with Marseille soap before washing does the trick.

What are they made of?

The upper is GOTS-certified organic cotton — grown without pesticides, breathable and hypoallergenic. The sole is natural rubber from the rubber tree, bonded by vulcanisation (heat and pressure, no chemical glues). Safe, flexible and durable.

What sizes are available?

Our boys' canvas trainers come in European sizes 21 to 34. Check the size guide on each product page for detailed measurements. We recommend leaving around 10–12 mm of growing room beyond the longest toe, as children's feet grow quickly.

Slip-ons or lace-ups?

For younger boys (or anyone who values speed), slip-ons are the easier option — no tying required, with elastic and a secure fit. Lace-ups offer a slightly more structured feel and a more classic look. Both use the same materials and sole, so comfort and quality are identical.

Are they suitable for school?

Canvas trainers work well as everyday school shoes in warmer months, and many parents use them for PE. Check your school's uniform policy, as some require specific colours or closed-toe styles. Our plain colour options in black, navy or white tend to be the most school-friendly.

How do they compare to suede trainers?
